Henry Fribourg Teacher Grant Opportunity

Check out SASEF’s Henry Fribourg Teacher Grant opportunity and apply for an award of up to $1,000. Awards may be used towards innovative science and engineering instructional programs and materials for science teachers in the 23-county SASEF area. Learn more and apply here. Southern Appalachian Science & Engineering Fair

The Southern Appalachian Science & Engineering Fair (SASEF) is traditionally an annual event held at Thompson Boling Arena during the last week of March or first week of April. Students are invited to present their research covering a variety of categories in STEM.There are two divisions of competition — Junior Division for middle school students, grades 6 – 8, and Senior Division for high school students, grades 9 – 12.

In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SASEF was hosted in a virtual format. Check out these photos of the 2020 event. You can also find a list of the 2020 award winners here.
